Blangy and the surrounding area

Blangy-sur-Ternoise is the home of the remarkable Sainte Berthe Abbey, which is still a spiritual healing centre today. On another note entirely, this dynamic little village in le Pas-de-Calais is also where the adventures of thecomic book character Cedric take place!

Le Pré Saint-Gilles campsite is located in the heart of the Pays des 7 Vallées, renowned for its unspoilt countryside. Two hiking trails, which can also be done by mountain bike or on horseback, go from the centre of Blangy so you can discover the surrounding countryside, and in particular the woods and the limestone hillsides: the “Sentier des Vallons” and “le Circuit du Chemin Blanc”.

Various tourist sites are also nearby: the battle field and the medieval centre of Azincourt are 7.5 km from the campsite, the old commandery of Bois-Saint-Jean is less than 10 km away, and theMoulin de Maintenay water mill is 30 km away. The Musée vivant de l’abeille d’Opale honey farm is 15 km from Pré Saint-Gilles, and can be visited as a family.

Beer lovers, or those who are simply curious can also discover the brewers’ craftsmanship at the brasserie Quentovic in Beaurainville, half an hour away by car from your holiday accommodation.

Situated in the heart of le Pas-de-Calais, Le Pré-Saint-Gilles campsite is the perfect starting point to go and discover the extraordinary variety of atmospheres in the area, from Arras to the beaches of Le Touquet, as well as the Caps et Marais d’Opale Regional Natural Park.

From the campsite, Berk is only 40 minutes away. You can also get to the Nausicaa Centre National de la Mer aquarium in Boulogne-sur-Mer in 1 hour. The towns of Arras and Lens are 50 and 60 km from your accommodation, respectively. The town of Calais is a little over an hour away by motorway (A26).

The natural, cultural, architectural and historic wealth of le Pas-de-Calais is vast. Amongst various getaway possibilities, we suggest the town of Hesdin and its remarkable belfry, the Valloires abbey and gardens, the beautiful find sandy beach of Fort-Mahon-Plage, the ramparts and citadel of Montreuil-sur-Mer, or even the ceramic museum in Desvres.
